My grandmother knew how to get the richest cream for her coffee and for her life, so the "cream" line has become a family mantra. Here I share an online journal of my life past and present with family and friends. Travel stories from now on will be on the blog link to the left.

Paring it down means throwing out the 10year old pasta
So, I am paring it all down. Trying to keep only what really really matters in my life. But they were sooo cute in that jar. A wake up call when I realized I found these adorable little artichoke and garlic shaped pastas in 1995. Ok. That is more than 10 years. But I ran my fingers through them one more time in the waste basket, thinking...gee...maybe I can glue them to something and make a cute kitchen picture. Ok. out they go. How do I throw a lot of "stuff" away without throwing away parts of me, that is the test.

We're going through the same thing. .. getting rid of what we don't need or love a lot. I keep reminding myself that I am not my stuff and that if I haven't reread all those books by now, I probably won't.
When are you moving?
Not till the mobile sells. It goes up on tuesday. Who knows. But I am retiring December 31. If it sells early, I'll move to a motel or something.
